July Meeting Minutes – Senor Matia’s

Present -                  Schaffers, Claytons, Nichols, Carol, Stew.

 

Treasurers Report

1.                Reviewed financial info provided by Tom prior to meeting.

2.                Reviewed current stock prices

3.                Connie collected checks for Tom.  Checks collected from Nichols, Schaffer’s, Hills, Carol ($45.00), Stew ($25.00).

 

Old Business -           

       1.     Reviewed previous months minutes

                          

New Business –

1.                A warm welcome to our new members, Carol White and Stew Roberts.  Jim and Mary brought them to the meeting. 

2.                Schaffers checked out SSG software from Jim.

3.                Clay presented Harley Davidson SSG.

4.                Jim & Mary presented SSG on Jet Blue.  Very difficult to interpret results.

5.                Jim & Mary presented Johnson & Johnson SSG.  Looked good and is on low end of buy zone.

6.                Connie discussed Kohls ValueLine.  Looks Good.  Will present SSG next month due to technical difficulties with computer.

7.                The following stocks are scheduled for presentation next month:

a.                 Kohls – Connie & Bill

b.                Disney – Connie and Bill

8.                Clay discussed his research on Martha Stewart.  He said there is nothing positive being said and a buy is not recommended.

9.                Voted to modify pending purchase of 10 shares of LOW.  Purchase of 10 shares will be made at current market price instead of the previous order for 10 shares at or below $45.00.

10.            Voted to sell all Mueller shares.

11.            Voted to purchase 10 shares of Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) at current market price.

12.            August meeting is at Tom’s on Sept. 5th (since he was not there to veto).  Alternate is Nichols.
